i have windos xp homeedition, my question is why when my daughter logs on her
account she can see and access all my folder and files, even tho i have them
as hidden an put her profile so that she can not see hidden files and
folders. i do not want to make her account limited as then i would get called
everytime she wants to load somethingon it. is there anyway i can set up
permissions so that she can not see my folders and file or no be ab le to
view them at least

An account with Administrator permissions can see everything on the
computer, regardless of whether you mark it as hidden.

No one should be using an Administrator account for day to day
computing, but if you really feel you want to work this way you can
either password protect or encrypt any files or folders you wish to
remain private.

Nope.
You cannot.
You can encrypt them, but that brings in all sorts of other issues.
You can zip them and password protect the zip folder, but that brings in all
sorts of other issues.

You have to take away administrative rights in order to prevent her from
doing whatever she wants on the system. You should also password protect the
BIOS and set it to boot from hard disk drive first/only. I would think
getting asked before she goes and installs things would be the way to go.
