Hi,

Let me describe the problem:

1. Windows 2000 SP4 or Windows XP SP1 PC member of a Windows 2000
domain.
2. A local user (Local\JDoe) is created with administrator rights
(member of Administrator's group)
3. The local user (Local\JDoe) and his user profile folder
(c:\Document and Settings\JDoe) are deleted.
4. A domain user with same username(Domain\JDoe) logon in the PC. A
new profile folder is created (c:\Document and Settings\JDoe).
5. The profile folder is deleted after user logoff!!!. All the
documents and settings are lost!!! . If user logon again in the PC, a
new folder profile is created (it behaves as a temporary user
profile).
6. This problem only happens with this users. Any other domain user
works without lost his folder profile.

I really want know what is happening. I already lost information
thanks to this problem. Any help will be appreciated.

Regards,
JB

Is this a mandatory profile (.man)?
Is the user a member of the Guest group?

You are right!!!
The Domain admin made a mistake creating the user account!!!.
The user had been defined as member of the "Domain guests" group.
Therefore, the user was logging as a guest in his PC with a temporary
profile.

Thanks for your help,

JB
