user privileges when installing games

i'm unclear as to why my kids can't install games when they
don't have administrator privileges. same is true if i
install the games as administrator.

i've run into the same issue with XP. i'll install a
program (netzero), but my non-admin users can't run the
program correctly - the program won't save any settings if
run by a non-admin.

It all revolves around permissions granted to the users. Contacting the
game vendor and getting info on what permissions to grant and where they
are will be the answer to the problem.

As for the Netzero, you may need to change permissions on the Netzero folder
where it was installed to allow Users change permissions (but don't let users
delete the folder!)
You may also need to perform this step on other programs that complain when
run under limited user accounts.
