User desktop settings - Global changes vs Individual changes

My wife and I are both set up with admin access. When she changes her DPI
settings on her profile, mine change also. Is this because of her admin
status?

We had limited accounts, but she couldn't delete files, so to keep peace at
home, I changed her account to admin. How do I set this up so we can have
our own desktop settings? Is this possible with two admin accounts?

If not, can I set up limited accounts but still have the permissions to
delete files?

Does no one even have an idea? I've posted in three forums with no help from
anyone. Is it possible there is no answer to this?

In MS KB article 281565 is this information:
[[This behavior occurs because when you modify the screen resolution and the
color depth settings in the Display Properties dialog box, the changes that
you make are applied to all users on the computer; The screen resolution is
a system-wide setting and is not related to individual user profiles.]]

I just happened to see this earlier in this newsgroup.
