User-Defined Field not Shown for Advanced Filtering

Peter Crickman

Hi,

I have added a user-defined field [of type Formula and set it = DateDiff
("d", [Sent], Date())] to my Inbox Folder using the New... button on the
Field Chooser. I can add it as a new field column to any Inbox view by
dragging it to the column header and it caculates the proper number of days
for each mail item in the Inbox. When I tried to use the field in the
Advanced tab of the View Filter dialog, the User-Defined fields for the
Inbox folder shows "none". What is required to allow the field to show up
in this list?

Thanks in advance.

Formula fields can't be used for sorting, grouping or filtering.

Is there an alternative method for filtering on the Date Sent less than 14
days (or other number greater than 7)?

No, you can only use the "verbs" shown in the filter dialog.
