Hello,

Have a user who changed his password on his Windows 2000
PC then later attaches his Windows XP laptop to network
and can't login. Any ideas?

Thank You,

Glenn

Just a gues, but I'd say he's not using the correct username and password
???

You don't mention if the Windows 2000 PC is networked or not, and whether or
not the user is changing his domain password while connected to the domain
.... if he changes his "domain" password while NOT connected to the domain,
then the domain doesn't have his "correct" password, and when he goes to the
XP domain PC, he should still use the DOMAIN password ...

More info on the specifics you're running into would help ...

The Windows 2000 machine was on the network. While logged
into the network he changed his password. His laptop has
Windows XP he attaches it to the network and he can't
login. All systems are company systems and they are
members of the same domain. The user is in I/S for 15
years so I gotta believe he knows what he's doing.
