User Accounts

My user account is setup as Admin. but windows is not recognizing this. When
I try to fix my internet connection problem it tells me that I do not have
authority and that I need to talk to the Computers Admin. which is me. Please
tell me how to fix this.

I need a bit more info, is that account the real administrator? or is it
just a user called admin??
 
Hi,
It is the actuall administrator account. It is called "Clay" and I selected
the "computer administrator" option for the account type. I have done this by
going to the start menu, control panel, then user accounts. Thank you for
helping.
