I have a Windows 2K server network with both WinNT 4.0 and
Win2K workstations. I have one user who has changed from
a WinNT machine to a Win2K machine, but from his new Win2K
machine he cannot access a certain file on the network.

When he logs into the NT machine, it works perfectly fine,
but when he logs onto the Win2K machine, his access is
denied, cannot find the network path. All other users on
the network have no problem going from NT to 2K. Just
this guys account has a problem.

Any ideas?

I've seen similar problems with NT, they can be tricky. Can the user take
ownership of the file from his 2K box?
Is this a domain or local account?
See if user can assign permissions from the NT box to the file for another
user account or group, like "domain users."

It's a domain account, and the file is a shared file for
the whole company, everyone is supposed to be able to run
it.
