I've never seen an NTL install box without an Ethernet cable ?

I don't understand your question ?

I have always maintained NOT using USB for Internet connections. :thumb:

no.

well yes

but the ethernet only works with macs

and I asked the bloke for an ethernet modem when he came and he said they only do usb modems.

i hate ntl. he was probably lying.

i hate ntl.

All I'm trying to find out is if you can get and adaptor to go on the end of a usb plug that converts it to an ethernet plug. I realise its a long shot, but it would be nice. :)

huh!!

You have been talking to a Monkey.

Unplug your USB ... uninstall the software ... plug the Ethernet cable in ... re-install the software, pay particular attenton to the bit that asks which method you are using to connect to the modem.

Job done !!

Have a nice day. :)
