USB Scaner

Hi all,

when i install a driver for a USB Scanner on my XPe Thinclient i always get
an error:
"... class driver can not update oder install" or something like that.

Andreas,

The image will need the "Class Install Library - Image Device", "Class
Installer - Imaging Devices", and the "Windows Image Acquisition Core"
components (at a minimum) to support your scanner. Take a look in the
\System32 folder for sti_ci.dll. That is the class installer library. If you
have that check for sti.dll in the \System32 folder. Sti.dll is from the
Windows Image Acquisition Core component. If those two are missing add them
to your image and rebuild (or contact your OEM about having an image built).

I have found the sti_ci.dll in the folder \system32 but i cant´t found the
sti.dll

What can i do?

Hello,

Is this a system that you developed or a third party. If it's a third party
it will be difficult to get this working since they will have to recreate
the image for you. If you built it add the "Windows Image Acquisition Core"
component, resolve dependencies, and rebuild.
