USB MIDI device won't load generic driver

I have a USB MIDI audio device. This device uses the generic windows drivers,
e.g usbaudio.sys, etc.

When I insert the device into the XPe system, I get the add hardware popup
looking for a driver. When I use this device on Win XP, the drivers are
automatically loaded. If I look in the Device Manager on XPe the device is
in there as a "USB Device" with a yellow ! in the "Other devices" section

I checked the files in Driver Details on the XP system, there were eight
including usbaudio.sys.

When I check for those driver files in XPe using Explorer, those eight files
are all there at the correct locations.

I notice that I don't have a windows\inf directory. All the infs for other
proprietary drivers are in other locations.

The Realtek HD audio drivers were previously installed. I've also used other
audio non-MIDI USB devices with proprietary drivers without a problem on XPe.
Other non-MIDI audio functions are working correctly on this image.

Does anyone know why the generic drivers needed for MIDI are not loading on
XPe. Do I need to point the add hardware wizrd to a particular inf that's not
on the system and which should be in windows\inf?

Thanks in advance,

Art

I've resolved this. I needed to copy wdma_usb.inf from my XP system to
windows\inf on XPe. The also forgot that the inf directory was hidden.
