Play midi file

Hello,

I have a strange problem on my device again. Midi files seem play without
any sound, while wav files and others are fine.

I checked my control panel and the devices are working fine. The strange
thing is that the same driver is used on XP, and midi files play alright. Is
there something I missed in my XPE image? It's not a hw issue, as I have
tried using XP on the same machine with no problems.

Hi Rei

You need to add Roland Sound Canvas Sound Set
componenet to configuration to play midi files.
Roland Sound Canvas Sound Set has visibility 200
so you need to set visibility level to 200 or lower in Target Designer to
view it.

Hello,

Thanks alot! I rebuilt the image and it worked! What is this component
actually? A codec? I couldn't find much information on it on Microsoft's
website.

As I undestsand GM.DLS contains sounds needed for playing MIDI.
And it's file is inside Roland Sound Canvas Sound Set component.
