I recently upgrade from Windows 98 to XP professional.
Now my USB port will not recognize Palm Pilot or Ditigal
cameral input. Put in new USB card and did not solve the
problem. Windows recognizes USB cord connection but will
not allow transfer of any data. How do you correct?

You have "Phantom" devices. Unplug your USB peripherals.
Open Device Manager, Click View, tic "Show Hidden Dev".
Expand the categories with your devices. They should appear
as grayed out. Uninstall each device. Reboot, then plug in your
devices one at a time. This problem can be caused by plugging
in USB devices to different ports than they were on originally.
