USB Ports not working

I installed a Windows Critical Update and now my USB
ports do not work. "Q817287: Critical Update (Catalog
Database Corruption in Microsoft Windows XP)". I then
installed "Recommended Update for Windows XP SP1
(KB822603)" to try and fix the problem. No Luck. Any
help would be appreciated.
 
Same problem here after the same installations of
critical Windows update!!! If someone knows how to finx
this problem!
 
Can't you uninstall all USB devices in device manager and then reboot,
forcing it to reinstall?
