USB port and downloading from camera

I have always been able to download pictures from camera onto my computer.
Now, whenever I plug my camera into my computer (via USB port) and turn the
camera on, instead of downloading the pictures, all I get is a message
"safely remove hardware". Can anyone help?

Go to Start/Run, and type DEVMGMT.MSC , highlight the USB HUB device(s), Action menu, "Uninstall", then restart Windows, to find the
device drivers again automatically.

hi everyone i don't know if i'm in the right place, but my problem is when i
plug my kodak camera or my sandisk card reader in my usb ports on the front
of my computer they wont work i go to my computer and it dont show them but
when i plug my mp3 player in the same usb port and go to my computer it shows
it. can anyone help me? please.
