USB notifications - how to turn off ???

How can i turn off notifications when i am using an USB 2.0 memorystick. I
always get this: "This unit can work faster if you use an usb 2.0 port", but
i only got 1.1 on my laptop and pc and when i copy data from one to another
with the memorystick this notification pops up every time i use it. Can
anyone help ?

I have found a solution.

My solution was a USB2 PCMCIA card. Cost me about £6 and everything is
at least three times as fast.
I was copying CD images onto my memory stick, and at USB1.1 speeds it
was taking a few minutes.
