USB mouse

If I leave win 2k unattended or inactive the mouse stops
working and I need to reboot to regain control...can
anyone help
 
You have the correct mouse drivers? ie manufacturers not MS default drivers.
Tried a different usb port?
Checked for mb bios updates?
