USB Mouse Help

I'm trying to install a new optical, 3-button wheel mouse that has a USB
connection. The system recognizes that the mouse is connected but when it
begins to install the drivers it asks for the "mouhid.sys" file. I've
searched my Win XP disk, and my system but can not find that file anywhere.
What is it and where can I get it?

How about getting the drivers from the manufacturer's web site. If it is a
Logitech mouse then here is a link

Was a CD included with the mouse? Try that.
