usb mass storage device

i was using my usb device and i accidentally interrupted the connection by removint the cable connecting the device to my computer. Now every time i start my computer there is an icon saying remove safely but there is no device plugged. Also in my system manager there is a yellow icon next to the usb mass storage device. i've tried the troubleshooters and i've also uninstalled and reinstalled the device but nothing please someone help me. thanxs

Run regedit to remove the VID subkey for the USB Storage device

Or, simply go to device manager and unistall the XXX PCI to USB Open Host Controller and then reboot
Let windows serach and re-install the USB drivers
