usb driver update

I have sp2 installed and am wondering if I require driver updates for usb
2.0. The reason I ask is because I have a voip adapter which remains powered
via the usb connection after the pc is shut down (but still connected to the
wall socket). Also, if I connect this adapter after turning on the computer I
get a message saying the device will perform faaster connected to a usb 2.0

WinXP fully supports all USB port speeds, there are no additional drivers to
download. That message is normal (device will perform faster) depending on
which USB port you plug your USB device into.
