I have a Flight Simulator controller that is recognised, shows up in (Game
Controllers) and works 100%, that is until shut down of computer. On boot up
the device does not show up in (Game Controllers) until i remove and then
re-insert USB plug from device. I have checked it in all my USB sockets, all
same. I have unticked allow the computer to turn off this device to save
power, same. Any suggestions please?

You could try going to device manager and "scan for hardware changes" and it
may be redetected, or simply buy a USB extension cable so the plug is in
arms length and you don't need to go to the back of your PC, (I am assuming
that is the case), to unplug/plug it in.

Maybe the controller isn't PnP compatible or something.

It's a bit of a stretch, but maybe this will help:

Thanks guys, I do not wish to keep comp running 24/7, tried other
suggestions,no change, have bought ext lead but would still like to find
reason why its not being found on start up without unplug/replug.

Check the device manufacturer's support site to see if it is a known issue,
if there are software conflict issues and if there is a driver update. As it
is the possibilities include that the device is inherently flakey, the
drivers did not install properly, or they need updating, or they conflict
with some other device, the USB chipset on the motherboard could be
problematic for this type of issue or not up to specification in some way to
operate the device. Any of those things could be true.

Not a known issue there are thousands of these sims in use and as i say once it is recognised it will run 100% all day.
