USB Device Not Recognized

I installed XP SP2 on a Toshiba Satellit Pro 6100. Then, an error message
"USB Device Not Recognized" often pops up. Any idea about the cause of the
problem and solutions? Many thanks. HL

Yes - your sp2 install caused the problem and the solution is to uninstall it.

What devices do you have attached to the USB ports on your notebook? Did
you install the Toshiba utilities drivers (available at the Toshiba website)

I didn't attach any device to the two USB ports. These Toshiba utilities
drivers seem old. Are they safe to install after the SP2 upgrade? Thanks.

I re-installed the original Toshiba mouse driver and the problem seems to
have been solved. Thanks for your idea. HL
