I have a Sony PCG-FR130 VAIO laptop. Several weeks ago, the USB 2.0 ports
failed completely, and I sent it in for service. Sony replaced several
components. Well, now the USB ports work for the most part, but often my Lexar
USB 2.0 JumpDrive is unrecognized, the printer is unrecognized, and my MS Office
keyboard will freeze. The MS IntelliMouse Optical mouse, however, freezes ALOT
(several times per hour)! I can't open down as to what triggers it to freeze,
but as soon as I play an audio CD, it will freeze within five seconds.
Before I sent it in to service, I did a system restore, and then installed Opera
7 and PocoMail 3. The freezes and failures started to happen right after I got
it back from Sony, so I don't think it's a software conflict. Any ideas would
be greatly appreciated.
