MOUSE KEEPS FREEZING UP.

Several times an hour, my mouse freezes up. I disconnect it (USB), plug it
back in and it works again.

Tried several different mice; several different USB ports. Uninstalled the
driver and let it reconnect.

Using XP; SP2. Currently MS optical mouse.

Thoughts.

Thank you..

Check the Power Management (TAB) of each Root Hub. Make sure the
check box "Allow Windows to turn off this device...." is unchecked.

Also, might want to check both Power/Bandwidth consumption on each
controller in the Universal Serial Bus Controllers category.

Device Manager:
Click Start, Run (Type) DevMgmt.Msc [Enter]

THANK YOU!

You nailed it!

My computer was obviously saving power by turning off my mouse!

Fixed now.
