USB device drivers require reload after reboot

running windows XP and updated everything from the MS website. Everytime I
reboot my machine keeps need to reinstall all the USB device drivers.

additionally to this issue - there are two devices that are unable to find
their driver files. I specifically click "do not attempt to install this
device in the future" and still those devices are attempted to be installed
as well.

any clues please?

okay I finally figured out all the USB devices. now when I reboot it
constantly asks me to install the drivers for my eMagic AMT8 USB MIDI
interface and my iLok key from Waves. both of these devices I have the
driver files for but for some reason I need to install them each time I boot.

any way to get them to be automatically known.

I've downloaded the latest drivers and installed them. I even explained
that in my last email.

ALL USB drivers are considered new. including the hub, logitech, eMagic AMT
8, the bluetooth, and iLok drivers. this is not specific to the audio
devices.

the issue is that all USB drivers are considered new and need installing
each time I reboot windows XP. this is an OS issue. is this the proper
newsgroup to discuss broken windows OS problems like the one I am describing?

cheers,

Noah
