hey all,im havin a bit of trouble with a PCI expansion card ive lately installed into a slightly dated system.
its a pentium 3 with 352 Mb of ram running windows xp.
the PCI card has been tested on another computer and works fine but when installed in this one, even though its detected in the bios and in windows and everything seems to be working ok nothing happens when a USB device is attached. ive tried many devices such as printers (and tried printing documents), web cam, mouse, digital camera and cable modem but no matter what the device the end result is the same...nothing!!!
anybody ideas

go to -> start -> control panel -> system -> hardware -> device manager

Do you see "USB" on the bottom of that list? and if you do, or don't, do you see a yellow icon (i think it looks like a '?' but cannot remember)

Please report back...

Try a different PCI slot ... NOT the one next to the graphics card.

Not all "cards" are compatable with all motherboards. :(
