URL changing in IE

R

I have a 98 machine that is running IE6. The system is
replacing the URL I enter (www.yahoo.com or any site for
that matter) by adding a /?%20 resulting in http:///?%
20www.yahoo.com It is adding an extra slash, a question
mark and html code for a space before the www. Any help
would be greatly appreciated.

First eliminate any scumware.

Note that AdAware and SpyBot S & D will each catch some things the other
won't. Also, each needs to be updated before every use, even when just
downloaded. There's also a lot more to do than just those two programs.

Alternative download pages for Ad-Aware, Spybot, HijackThis and CWShredder
may be found on this page:

If trying everything at that site does not fix the problem please post back
in the same thread.
