URGENT HELP REQUIRED !!!

Jacob Frankham

Hi all

I hope someone is kind enough to spend the time helping me with this one

I have a report which is taking about 20-30 seconds to appear. I believe
that this is simply because of bad design, and I need some help in speeding
it up please !!

I have posted my db file to here: http://82.39.114.213

If you have the time, do the following:

Run the form (there is only one)
Select NORTH then ALL OFFICES (by clicking the top label), then RISK BASED
then ALL CONTRACTS (again, by clicking the top label) then GENERAL then
CURRENT STATUS then hit PREVIEW

It takes ages

I don't think it is the query that is the recordsource for the report that
is the problem, I think it is something to do with the FillControl()
procedure that is slowing it down - stupid thing is it was working OK a
couple of days ago but know it has gone kaputt !!!

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

Cheers

Jake

Asking for people to download and execute database code to answer a
newsgroup question is usually unproductive -- for one thing, no offense
intended, but they can't determine if such a database may have "rogue code"
that does damage. You'll have much better luck if you concisely and
precisely describe what you have, what you see, and what you want. There are
some other excellent suggestions on effective use of newsgroups at
http://www.mvps.org/access/netiquette.htm.
