UPS Question

I have a WIN2K AS. On this server I have attached an APC UPS. My system does
not recognize it (PNP won't find it either).

I have nothing in the Control Panel that allows me to manage the UPS. I
cannot install APC Powershute as it causes periodic system crashes. APS is
looking into this. So, I would like to have an interim solution.

Any ideas?

ps: Connected to com1, WIN2K SP4 etc.

That's my point David, I don't have Power Options/UPS to manage it???
