I have a UPnP router, and Windows used to show an icon in Control Panel ->
Network Connections -> Internet connection. This allows me to watch the
traffic through the router as well as open UPnP ports on the router. After
installing SP2, however, I can't get this icon no matter what I do. I've
turned off Windows Firewall completely as well as disabling its service in
Admin. Tools-> Services. Without this icon, the programs that support UPnP
protocal still works (can open ports by themselves, etc), but I can't tell
what ports they've opened, nor can I open ports myself.
Is there any way of restoring this icon without uninstalling SP2 completely?
Or, if this icon can't be restored, are there any utilities which do similar
functions?
