Internet Gateway comes and goes

Internet Gateway Icon comes and goes at free will, UpnP is enabled in the
router. When using a UPnP program and the Icon is missing, the services in
the program will not work, so I have to manually configue port routing info.
I would like to know how to keep the Gateway Icon from disappearing.

there are at least a dozen possible causes for this,
unfortunately.

First thing I'd try is to update the router firmware.

Check whether the UPnP exception in the firewall is enabled,
assuming you have your Windows up to date.

Check for spyware and repair the Winsock.
