uploading photos from a cd to the pc

efollowing a rcent system restore tried to up load my previously archived
digital photos from a cd - however, some of the photos are not recognised and
the wizard process stalls.Also there are about 500 photos on the cd and it
takes ages (3 minutes) for the wizard to upload just one photo. Any thoughts?

What wizard are you using?
Why not just copy the images to the appropriate folder?
