Copying photos to CD

Hi I do hope someone can answer my question.I am trying to copy my holiday
photos to cd,but when in the wizard I click on copy I get the message "inset
a writable CD into the D drive,even though there is one in there.Why is my PC
not recognising the CD?Please note I have tried CD_R and CD_RW,and in the
past have had not trouble copying photos.

Check that your CD drive is available for XP.
To copy photos to CDs, you open My Computer and then the folder and select
the pictures you want to copy.
Then look at the menu on the left under Picture Tasks. The last command is
"Copy to CD".
If this is what you did and you receive the message, repair as given below.
If the command "Copy to CD" is not listed, the same repair given below will
bring it in.
Repair:
Open My Computer, right click on Properties. Click on the Recording tab in
the opening window and check the box "Enable...."

Sorry, something was missing in my previous repair message.

Repair:
Open My Computer, right click on your CD drive listed there and click on
Properties on the opening list. Click on the Recording tab in the opening
window and check the box "Enable....."
