Upload file from remote user RDClient to Terminal Server

Jay Black

I have a remote client (XP Professional) and she connects to us through our
firewall using a Safenet VPN Client provided by us, and then she uses the
Remote Destop Client to connect to our W2k Terminal Server.

She has a file on her local machine that I want her to transfer to our
Terminal Server.

She cant simply drag and drop the file into a directory on the W2k Terminal
Server, why I dont know and is the Big Question. Can this be done, do I
need to use a differerent client instead of the Remote Desktop Client or in
addition to the RDC, do I need to change some settings somewhere? or
what??? The RDC client was updated in July 03.

Appreciate your help, the microsoft forums have always answered my
questions. Hope I gave enough info.

Thanks Jay

If you have the latest version of the RDP client installed
on the client machine, then you might want to try using
TSDropCopy from AnalogX.com. Many people here have used
it and found it to be quite good. It'll allow you to move
files back and forth between the server and client.
