Ok, So here is my system specs:

ASUS A8N SLi Motherboard
AMD Athlon 64 X2 4200+ 2.2ghz
4GB DDR 400 PC 3200 Dual Channel (4x1024mb)
2x BFG Geforce 7800 GT 256mb
160GB Seagate SATA 300 Hard Drive

Anyways so while I was waiting for my copy of Windows XP Pro 64 to come in I
installed XP Pro on my machine. So now I'm trying to reformat my computer to
install XP Pro 64 and it keeps freezing at the "Setup is Starting Windows"
point.

NOTE: I have 2 Duplicate computers of the specs above and 2 separate brand
new copies of XP Pro 64 and they both freeze at the same point. Any
Help/Advice wold be greatly appreciated.

You will have better luck getting a response to this question if you
post it to the newsgroup microsoft.public.windows.64bit.general

That is where you will find more people with expertise and experience
with your type of problem.

Good luck

It may be that WinXPx64 doesn't have a good driver for the SATA
controller. Very early in the boot process, just after having booted
from the WinXPx64 CD, the screen will display the words to the effect:
"Setup is examining your system." Press <F6> when this happens, and
have the *manufacturer's* WinXPx64-specific drivers for your SATA
controller available on a floppy disk.

Alright Guys I just wanted it noted that Windows XP Pro x64 doesn't support
4gb of ram during the install, so this is what caused it to freeze. I pulled
out 3gb and tried again it worked. So if anyone runs into a similar problem
just try with minimal ram and it should be fine.
P.S. None of my ram was defective!

Thanks for the update. Glad to hear you resolved the problem.

How did you determine that WinXPx64 won't install on 4Gb of RAM? Was
there a KB Article or something that you found?
