Upgrading from XP Home to XP professional

When I am installing Windows XP Professional, I receive
the follwing message about halfway though: Cannot find
Pcouffin.sys in the Pattin-Couffin Disk. Then it gives me
the option of browsing for it, but it is not on my
computer. Meanwhile I am stuck in the setup loop and
cannot just go back to XP Home so I can at least use my
computer. Does anyone know how to get back Windows XP
Home and get out of the setup loop? Please Help!!

So what can I do? At this point I just want to get out of
the setup loop and back to XP Home.
