Upgrading from XP Home to XP Professional

Just bought a new laptop which comes with XP Home. Bought
and went to upgrade to PRO and it tells me something about
a lack of drive partitions to complete an upgrade. Do I
need something special from Microsoft to move from Home to
Professional???

No, nothing special. The upgrade from Home to Pro should be very easy
to accomplish. But are you sure you're selecting upgrade? It sounds
as if you're trying install Pro in addition to Home.
