i have an ibm laptop with a 2 gig hd.i cannot install updates from microsoft because theres not enough memory left.But most of my memory seems to be previous updates.I have cleaned it and removed what I dare but seem stuck.I have inquired about buying an outside hard drive and downloading everything but internet programs.is that my only solution?

2GB Hard drive?!
Buy a 20! They should run you about $80-$120 for a 2.5" drive to replace
that anemic drive.

Are you sure it's a 2GB drive and you are running Windows XP on it?
