Am considering upgrading with:
intelD915GAVL socket 775 ATX MB
intel P4 530 3.0Ghz processor
1024MB DDR Ram.
Any imput will be appreciated

What "input" would you like?

What are you considering upgrading? Hardware? Operating System?
Application?
(I could assume you mean you are considering an upgrade to Windows XP, but
that seems like a pretty new machine not to already have XP..)

Or is that list the hardware you are upgrading to?

Looks okay to me, as long as you make sure all your hardware is compatable.
What will you be using the machine for primarily? Secondarily?

The most important things I have found (usually) is Hard Drive Speed, amount
of RAM, Processor speed and Video Card power.
If you get those things covered as well as you can afford, then you are
ready.

Just make sure that your power supply is 400 watts or greater. Your will be
running a "power hungry" system.

P4's run very hot, If your budget can be stretched a little, I'd
invest in a Zalman CPU Cooler. Also a good case with both
an intake and exhaust fan. I personally use Antec cases.
