Upgrade XP Home SP1 to XP Pro

I have XP Home preinstalled on my Toshiba Laptop.
I tried to upgrade with my XP PRO CD.
It goes throught the preinstall sequence. Once it reboots
it goes to a blank screen and stops.
I read something on the toshiba site with a link to the
ms site that said you have to have xp pro with sp1 if you
are going to upgrade xp home with sp1.
The xp Pro cd that i have doesn't have sp1.
Is there anything I can do to get upgraded?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Do I need to download sp1?
