Upgrade to XP Pro on Toshiba Satellite A35

I am trying to upgrade to XP Pro from XP Home, and get to
the "installing drivers" part of the upgrade, when the
system reboots and starts this over again, infinite
loop. Any similar experiences? I've tried the fix
listed in MS Knowledge Base Article Q311839 but don't
have the "Nltwinax.sys" file listed in my
Systems32/drivers folder.
Help?

while looking at hardware between 39 and 32 min approx.

shift+f10
taskmgr.exe
turn off svchost processes

if that doesnt work try
shift+f10
devmgmt.msc
and disable display modem nic and sound drivers

so you reboot and restart and try those one at a time and
see if either of these gets you through if not you are
probably going to need to clean install.
