DVD Decoder software needed for a Toshiba Satellite M115-S1061

Gurus,

Having difficulty googling this one. I need DVD Decoder software for a
Toshiba Satellite M115-S1061 Notebook that I re-formatted and installed
Windows XP Pro on (I lost the manufacturer restore disk). While all drivers
have been downloaded and installed, I cannot play DVDs without the DVD
Decoder software, which is not really a driver but an application so it's
hard to know where to look. Toshiba's web site provides an InterVideo
WinDVD Update for Windows Vista but I have Windows XP. Any thoughts?

VideoLAN aka VLC Media Player is even better. Self-written codecs are
already in the program. Plays SWF, FLV, even (with tweaking) play
ISOs!

It will NOT play DRM-protected files, and I doubt if they would want it
too.

Also free, and it is Open Source as well as cross-platform, so there is
nothing hidden inside, like Windoze Media Player.

Scarecrow: I don't know... But some people without brains do an awful lot
of talking... don't they?
Dorothy: Yes, I guess you're right.
