I want to upgrade my XP Home edition to XP Pro, during
installation the computer went to a blue screen with the
error message BAD_POOL_CALLER

I have no idea what this means or what i need to do to
install XP Pro correctly, so I just re-booted the XP Home
edition.

Any help would be most welcome.

Thanks

Not sure what that means, exactly...

.....but I'd recommend that before any OS upgrade you uninstall your
antivirus software and disconnect anything that isn't needed - printers,
scanners, external hard drives, etc - leave only your keyboard, mouse,
monitor connected. Make sure your firewall is enabled before plugging in
your network cable or connecting to the Internet in any way.
