Upgrade from XP Home SP2 to XP Pro w/o SPs

Bill

I want to upgrade from XP Home w/SP2 to XP Professional.
The copy of the XP Professional upgrade I have does NOT
have SP2 and probably doesn't have SP1. My intent is to
reinstall the SPs after upgrading to XP Professional.
Will this likely cause problems, i.e., do I need to
uninstall the SPs before upgrading? Tx! - Bill

Thier really is no "upgrade to Pro from Home",reason being microsoft
specifies that to do this one "should",boot to xp pro cd,recovery, press enter
for password,then type:DiskPart In DiskPart,delete the partition(C: with xp
home),create one,then press Esc key,back in cmd type:FORMAT C: /FS:ntfs
When its thru type:EXIT XP will install auto.Youre really installing a clean
install of Pro.As far as the SP2 goes, download fresh installations, home and
pro will/would be diffrent in many areas.
