Upgrade from windows millenium to 2000 professional

My Windows Millenium operating system is constantly
freezing up and I believe that upgrading to 2000
professional would be much better.However, as I was doing
so, I got the following error message:
"The option to upgrade will not be available at this time
because setup was unable to load the
file:C:\WINDOWS\UpgDlls\w95upg.dll\WIN9XUPG\W95UPG.DLL
The system cannot find the file specified".
Should I download the Windows 2000 Service Pack 2 to solve
this problem?

AFAIK this is not supported. If I recall right ME came out after Win 2k so
going from Win ME to Win 2k is not an "upgrade".
