upgrade from ME to 2000pro

I am trying to upgrade a Win ME box to 200 pro. It gives
me an error of cannot load file
c:\windows\upgdlls\w95upg.dll\win9xupg\w95upg.dll, I have
upgraded other ME boxes fine but for some reason this one
kicks this message up and I can o.k. it and it says
something about upgrade capabilities have been disabled.

Anybody have any ideas on this.

Hi Jeff,

Upgrading Windows Millennium Edition (Me) to Microsoft Windows 2000
Professional has not been tested for full feature functionality and is not a
supported upgrade path.

Hello Jeff,

I understand that you are unable to upgrade from Windows ME to Windows 2000
Professional. I have found a knowledge base article that should explain
this issue.
