Upgrade from 98 to XP Pro

After upgrading from 98 to XP pro and setting up for PPPOE I can
authenticate a connection with my isp server but internet explorer
cannot find any web pages and outlook does not work. I am connected
though as my connection status shows bits being received and sent
 
You need to contact your ISP to see if they use the software built into
Windows XP to dial your connection or it they have other software for you to
install.
