Upgrade from 2000 to 2003

I am using Windows 2000 Advanced Server with a domain consisting of 7 servers
including 4 Active Directory Integrated servers and the remaining as
standalone. I am looking to upgrade all servers to 2003. Can i upgrade the
standone machines first with no problems to get use to 2003 and is there any
complications or procedures that i should follow to upgrade the active
directory integrated servers. Is there a utility to analyze the active
directory state and to clean-up the database for duplicate or old entries.
