UPGRADE FM WIN 98 TO XP HOME

During install get : INF file txtsetup.sif is corrupt or
missing.
How do I fix this?
 
Boot to xp cd,select,install xp,new copy,delete the existing partition
(WIN 98),create one,then let xp format the hd and do a clean install.
