Dear all,

There are 2 domain controller in the LAN, one is the PDC (Windows 2000
Server) and the other is the BDC (Windows 2003 Server). I've wanted to
upgrade the BDC to be the PDC. How do I do that?

Thank you.

2000 & 2003 don't have PDC's & BDC's, only NT4 domains have these. 2xxx
servers have domain controllers

I would be concerned if I were you if discussing Active Directory Five years
afters its release in NT terms. Might want to grab a book on 2000/2003

You would need to run ADPREP before you can bring in a 2003 DC to a 2000
domain.

Web search on the subject.

In that case, I've already made the 2003 server as an additional domain
controller. But can u guys guide me how to make the migration process so that
I can use the 2003 server as the first domain controller?

Another thing is, I want to make the 2003 server as a file server but I
still have Windows 95 users in the LAN, can they connect to the 2003 server?

Thanx guys.
